Kenadi Smith is a figurative artist based in Columbus, Ohio working primarily in oil painting and drawing. Her work depicts psyche and flesh as inseparable entities, approaching them through a lens based in conditioning and the internalization of societal violence. She began pursuing Art professionally during her undergraduate career after initially studying Aerospace Engineering and Architecture. 

After an eight-month internship at No Place Gallery in downtown Columbus she came to understand the gallery space from both the artist and administrative sides. She installed and de-installed exhibitions, shadowed meetings alongside the gallery owner, and managed duties regarding outreach, marketing, networking, outsourcing supplies, and finances.

She received her BFA from Ohio State University, closing off her undergraduate practice with the exhibition Pushing Up from Under in April of 2026. Prior to graduation, she received two merit-based scholarships following her entry and exhibition in Ohio State University’s 2025 Juried Undergraduate Artist Exhibition.
